Armstrong Logistics Ltd in association with Aldi Stores Limited has developed a consolidated logistics centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This is currently the only one of its kind within the Aldi business and Armstrong’s are extremely proud to be Aldi’s approved logistics partner.

Armstrong Logistics Ltd has proven results working with Aldi Stores UK Limited over a number of years.

This expertise has been used to ensure the following key performance benefits;

How it all works

Armstrong’s currently work with many key Aldi suppliers, both in the UK and across the rest of the world. These valued Armstrong clients ship stock directly to our Customs bonded warehouse in Hinckley. Inbound freight is either arranged by Armstrong’s international division or the suppliers own haulier.

The stock is then held in storage until it is consolidated for onward delivery to Aldi regions.

The use of this system has many benefits to both Aldi and supplier - smooth flow of goods into the region, On-Time and in full & without much of the administration previously required. It reduces the stock-holding at the Aldi region and ultimately means fewer delivery vehicles on the road as all trucks are filled to capacity before departure. In the past suppliers with smaller, slow-moving lines might deliver a truck with 3 pallets at a time; we have reduced the possibility of 10 trucks down to only one in certain circumstances.
