Pony Rescue Donation
Armstrong Logistics recently donated 200 used pallets to the local Pony Rescue & Allotment Fields Care Farm in Bagworth; which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes a number of ponies, goats, sheep and other wild and domestic animals.
The pallets will allow the care farm to build a number of animal pens and shelters as well as activity structures for their rescued goats, allowing them to operate at full capacity, offering a 24-hour, 365 days a year animal rescue service.
The care farm also provides a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for vulnerable people. They are given the opportunity to take part in daily farm activities, including caring for the animals, growing fruit and vegetables, farm maintenance and working as part of a team.
The drivers who assisted in delivering the pallets, Richard Prime and Liam Petronis, as well as Abby Langley of our network partner, Pall-Ex were all highly praised by the director of the care farm for helping to manually unload all of the pallets as well as taking a genuine interest in the work done by the rescue centre.
